Wednesday night personal

Great news! E. got his place!

The Spanish Monastery, "one of the oldest buildings
in the Western Hemisphere" (Wikipedia)
He called me at work today at around noon to tell me he'd gotten a call from the agent at Renter's Paradise, saying he'd been given the green light to move into the apartment by the Spanish Monastery next Monday (his day off). The agent had said at the outset that the soonest E. could move in would be in two weeks, and that's how it's worked out.

I've been pretty anxious during the whole process myself, since I'm the one who had E. call the agent, the weekend before last, when they set up the appointment for last Monday. (I'd found a Renter's Paradise phone number on Craig's list and called it and that agent answered. Then she gave me her number for E. to call.) Whew! is all I can say.

As you know, I bought him the laptop for a housewarming gift, so next I'll look into getting AT&T DSL at the apartment so he can go online. The BF has been paying E.'s bills for him on the BF's computer, and E. has to learn how to do that and write down any logins/passwords the BF has been using, etc. I'll mention that to E. (I'll even talk to the BF about it and write it down, if necessary.) He'll first need to get a modem from AT&T - I can't remember how I got mine, whether they sent it in the mail or what.

I'm celebrating tonight by not going to the gym. (I should be there right now.) (I'll be back on Friday, however.) Earlier had a much-needed nap with Lucas.

Tonight there's a new "Paranormal Witness" on SyFy. I'll be watching that soon. (Then it looks like it's downhill from there - on the TV.)

* * *
This morning I got up a little earlier than usual to be at my new bank right at opening time (8:30) with my cold cash, and I do mean cold. Last night I'd hidden it in the freezer (in an envelope) beneath some frozen dinners. Today when the teller was counting it out, he remarked how cold it was, and I told him what I'd done. (He said my money was safe now.)

[Later] [Spoiler alert!] "Paranormal Witness" was excellent. Great show! Except maybe for a few gratuitous dramatic effects in the re-inactment portions with actors, it's all credible, inasmuch as multiple witnesses are narrating candidly from their own personal experience, and all their various accounts jibe. It's not buncombe. Donald Decker from Stroudsburg, PA was possessed by something, and whatever it was, was in the end successfully exorcised.
