Took a long nap earlier. Need that on the weekend sometimes. And setting up E.'s computer took some work. It was kind of scary, actually, with the malware attacking before I'd got it secured. (That had been my chief concern at the outset.)
Something else I have to look into: the gesture function for E.'s touch pad (whether he has it and configuring it if he does). [Click on the image at left to enlarge it.]
I think it's interesting that in Latin the word for work (negotium), means "not leisure." Those lazy Romans with their slaves. (Just kidding.) They didn't have electricity (yet).
Kind of watching a new SyFy move about a "monstrous root system" running rampant. Not so great. Roots just aren't scary. But the actors are attractive.
I've been marinating a bottom-round roast and will roast it tomorrow. I've never marinated a whole roast before. (I've cut up a roast in chunks and marinated for shish kabob.) We'll see how it turns out. Should be good.I decided to marinate it before it started going bad.

I'll probably go eat at E.'s restaurant tomorrow. I've had little to eat today (but gorged myself yesterday).
By the way, E. loved the handles I'd chosen for the new kitchen cabinets. So they're staying. (He also loved the backsplash tile, yet to be installed.) (The backsplash will actually be the most beautiful feature of the new kitchen.)
I hope E. hears something soon about his apartment. I'm the one who hooked him up with Renter's Paradise, although one of his co-workers also strongly recommended it. E.'s very eager (and anxious) to get of the situation he's in now. The BF had stopped paying the mortgage on the place, and the latest news is that it's been sold already (a "short sale", I guess). They have to be out of there in three (?) months. The relationship with the BF is apparently over, and so E.'s going out on his own.
He gets his laptop when he gets his own place.
