Interesting "60 Minutes" piece about Vincent van Gogh. He had temporal lobe epilepsy. And he didn't commit suicide. (But he did cut off part of his ear, more than just the lobe.)
Now a show on crows. Fascinating.
Went to dinner at E.'s restaurant tonight. Tomorrow is moving day, at last! One of his co-workers was at his new apartment today, doing some cleaning and decorating the bathroom (shower curtain, rug, etc.). His parents also visited and were pleasantly surprised - they'd been afraid he'd be in a dump, or something. E. wants me to take the laptop over on Tuesday. Now a show on crows. Fascinating.
[The flash didn't go off on this one. All I did was adjust the Curves in Photoshop.] |
The crows are smarter than "Desperate Housewives" these days.
Today I spoke with my friend in Canada. He reminded me to dust the TV stand. (Done.) (See above.)
Stormy here tonight, and they just interrupted "Pan Am" to announce a tornado warning for the Keys.
I found out tonight E. is borrowing a flat-screen TV from someone till he gets his own. (The BF still refuses to let E. take one of the two flat-screens.) (I don't understand exactly why.) But meanwhile he's got to get the cable connected. Hopefully the DSL will be up soon.
Tonight is E.'s last at the BF's place, which has already been sold by the bank since the BF stopped making the mortgage payments. The place is "under water," but it was E.'s opinion (correct) that the BF wouldn't be able to find a comparable place for what he was paying on the mortgage. And now that the BF has declared bankruptcy as well, who knows where he'll end up.
Tonight I gently warned E. not to let the BF move into E.'s new place, and E. abruptly dismissed that idea, reminding me that the BF is going on a week's vacation to Acapulco this month (with a trick?).
E.'s over the whole situation ("that mess") and is so looking forward to being on his own in the new place, for his own "peace of mind" (his words tonight). (Glad to hear.) That's what it's all about.
