Watched a new
"Jane Eyre" on ComCast On Demand (late) last night. Liked it but was getting tired toward the end, so I'll watch it again tonight.
Review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes reports that 83% of 109 reviews are favourable.[26] Among the 34 reviews from "Top Critics", consisting of the most notable critics, the film holds an overall approval rating of 88%.[27] The site's consensus is that "Cary Fukunaga directs a fiery and elegant adaptation, while Mia Wasikowska delivers possibly the best portrayal of the title character ever."[27]
Jane Eyre (the book) is one of my all-time favorite novels, along with
Madame Bovary, 1984, Animal Farm, Brave New World and
The Magic Mountain.
