Saturday nite late - personal

Have to work tomorrow from 1 to 5. Upon the death a few years ago of someone in our department who worked Sunday through Thursday, another member of our department started working the Sundays, which suited her schedule perfectly. But then the management in its wisdom (?) stepped in and decided to create a Sunday shift that would rotate among all members of the department. Which only makes everyone unhappy. Oh well.

Got quite a bit done around here today, even after sleeping in really late (I guess I needed the R&R). Got a new shower head at Target (right up the street). I had a Moen, not that old really. But it got to the point I could no longer adjust the water flow. Interestingly enough, Target no longer carries Moens, so I got a Waterpik (mostly what they carried). Came with a lifetime guarantee.

So, I hope it was wise to get out of the stock market (via my 401K) for a while, especially if it might tank again on Monday following S&P's downgrade.

I don't know about 401Ks. (I'm not a finance major.) Maybe it would be better just to give my money to a stockbroker and let him make the decisions about where to park it at any given time.

Why would the government create a program to allow ignorant people to manage their old-age pension? (We can't all be finance majors.)

(Thank G*d for Social Security.)
