"Wild Russia"

[OK, I beefed up the bear's eyes in Photoshop. (You'd never know, would you?) In the previous photo, I photoshopped the flare from the flash out of the picture (but left it in this one).]

When I started watching the show tonight, I thought it would be something Lucas would enjoy, so I put him up on the hassock in front of the TV, and sure enough. The show opened with a look at Russian desmans, which Lucas found fascinating. (Desmans are in the mole family, but are semi-aquatic, and are now endangered.) (As are all moles, they're almost blind, though probably able to tell night from day.)

I'd never heard of a desman, Russian or otherwise (have you?). (Nora Desmond, maybe.)
